ballroom it is

Normal day for me doesn't deserve its own blog post entry, but this day does! Maybe because of the annoyance of an unannouced freecut or maybe just the excitement I'm having right now concerning our ballroom class!

My day started out as usual - you have to wake up early and do the routine, just like robots, you see. I got to wake up early, thanks for my roommate's alarm clock - I forgot to set my own. I had to go to my 7:30 class only to find out it was a freecut. The hell. The hell lang talaga. I found myself boring and I had nothing to do for that one hour, though I pretty much enjoyed the aircon. But still!

After that, we had the Ash Wednesday mass... no need for the details. As I've told you, this day is pretty normal, but I consider it blog-worthy since... ... ...

I found out that I'm part of the ballroom dancers who will perform at the culminating activity on March 15. Our ballroom finals is on March 14 evening, and then early morning the next day, our teacher selected around 7 pairs together with other selected pairs from other classes who will perform at the Covered Courts. OMG lang talaga! Whew! That made me both scared and excited! My partner and I were very happy. Since kinakareer na namin every PE, eh di kareerin na namin til the end! OMG lang.

Whew!

Hello, world.

OK. So weekend is a bit boring, and I expected that as usual. I ain’t doing anything at this moment, since I already submitted my part for our major Filipino project to Diday, and that makes my workload big time lighter.

Why am I blogging if I there’s hardly any fun activities? It’s because I’m currently using Windows Live Writer, and I’m basically testing it. It’s OK for now… and I guess I’d be using this more often, since I don’t have to open Firefox and insert pictures that would take me longer to update my blog.

Ugh… I think I don’t like this program at all… Urgh. We’ll see… We’ll see…

Not my ordinary Saturday

I am so glad for today I had my not so ordinary Saturday. The entire morning, I locked up myself in the University Archive for our Major Filipino project, and we have to submit a worksheet on Monday through email, even if it's a holiday. I know, it's kinda shitty, right!? But anyway, it's OK cause I've made my best this morning!!!

Because I didn't take breakfast, I was big time hungry so blockmates decided to go to SM Marikina to have lunch and to join Mayu canvassing for her shoes and Diday for her laptop. :) Had lunch at Chowking (of all the restaurants! HAHAHA), still cannot believe I ate for 2 rounds! :)))))

After that, went to the department store for some shoe-canvassing for Mayu. And then tried some glasses, etc... And then went looking for the best-priced laptop/netbook, cellphones, etc... And then had desert at Sugarhouse. After the whole afternoon, and after Diday left and Rap dropped us at Ateneo, we headed to Tasha's house and watched Trainspotting but we weren't able to finish it. Shite! Hahaha...

PS: I really am afraid now of dogs. Sorry, Napplebee. :-(

Happy Birthday Merce!!!

Yay yay yay! It's the day!!! Today is the celebration of Mercemarie Atian's 18th Birthday!!!

Ronald and I first tried to look for Merce to give her the red roses as part of the "18 Roses" that were distributed to her guy friends. And we did it successfully, mabuti nabigla siya para nagmukhang surprise talaga! Until Kim told her the secret, that it was planned by Chyna and all... Next is the surprise that was given to her by her blockmates at the Zen Garden... awww. Ang sweet ng block niya! :-)

We had lunch at Shakey's - blowout niya. As usual, the Ateneans de Naga, nagphoto galore na naman, and we took the legendary Maging Sino Ka Man shots, pero ngayon ibang version na... Tayong Dalawa shots na, HAHAHAHAHA. After eating sa Shakey's, we went to Cello's to have some desert. Merce went with us to Cervini 'cause we were having a hard time getting her taxi. I thought of rock-climbing with Ronald pero ang boring kasi, wala kaming kilala. :-( Sayang, last day na ng free rock-climbing, ugh...

But anyway, the day is happy!!!!!

Musical-watching

OK, I really have to blog this now because I'm in the mood right now. Last night, we watched Bare, the musical I really wanted to see ever since audition started. You see, I auditioned for a part but they kinda rejected me. HAHAHA. So I think I have to see what they did when they didn't even cast me, joke!!!

The musical is still running until Saturday, next week, that's February 28. So please watch, because I say, it was beautiful! There was humor, drama, party, etc... and most of all... bending the laws of love. :-( The musical was nearly-3-hour. I was with Tasha, Mayu, Tin and Frances all eager to watch the boylove musical.

But before watching the musical at 8PM, we first watched the basketball games of our blockmates Rap and Obed, and then had dinner at McDo Katip, while playing... CLUE!!!!! HAHAHA. Saya-saya!!! Sana makabili rin ako ng CLUE plzzzzz. I want one!!!

FNLLY Again!

Hahaha, I'm doing another post that is related to THIS POST. Somehow similar but entirely different. Today is another very happy day for me.

First, of all... it's Lester's birthday today! And we get to eat at Kublai's in its last days.

I started the day with theses presentation of the three seniors (I think) at Dela Costa instead of having the usual English morning discussion. We listened to three students about their theses and actually, na-nosebleed ako. But I can manage pa naman. They were talking about these literature stuffs about the novel 'Gapo by Nick Joaquin and the city of Manila, etc... I really couldn't understand why their theses must be about literature.

It's Monday, therefore, it's Ballroom Day. And we started learning the advanced Jive, and boy, was it hard and fast!!! Especially when the music is really, really fast, I can hardly make my steps because it's really fast! But it was fun as usual! After P.E., Lulu and I bought tickets for BARE. I'm gonna watch because I'm still bitter I was not part of the musical. The ticket costs 200 but we haven't gotten it yet, but we already paid. After buying, I went to the Caf to meet Amy, and we, with Tin, went to Kublai's for the real fun!...

As I've said, it's Lester's birthday today. And I regret eating at the caf because I was so full when we were about to it at Kublai's. Mukhang sayang 'yung pera ko dun, ah. But anyway, that afternoon defined FUN!!! I won't go to the details, just ask me na lang. As I've said, today's happiness has the same reason as of the link post's. :)

MAJOR HAPPY!!! Thank you Lord hahaha!!!

P.S. I'm actually waiting for the pictures, so you can see it. (LOL) (dance) :))

This week.

This week, wala lang. Nothing happened special except for Mara's birthday party and the Single Awarness Day which I suppose is not special pala! Ugh... The following pictures were taken last Wednesday, when, again!, we had freecut for Filipino for the nth time kasi may something na naman si Ma'am, so we got to use the air-conditioned classroom for an hour! Rest, meeting, etc...

Mukha bang busy? Pwede nang pang poster sa Ateneo promotion, right? But it's all scripted. I just posed for fun. (LOL)

Diday, Amy and me! while having a meeting for the Fil shits we have to do...

Mayu, Amy and me still having a meeting though Mayu is not really part of the group. We were doodling kasi sa board.

Here is Mara's 18th sa Discovery. :))

Rap! Magic Sing!

Frances and Obed.

When we were all singing ~ Y.M.C.A. ~

Carlos, ayaw kumanta. But at least he came.

Justin Canseko, isang gabing naging E3. Haha.

Ah, ok. They were saying I look drunk already. :-s

Dinner at Discovery

Hello people. I've just arrived from Mara's 18th Birthday Dinner Party-whatever-you-call-it. But all I know is I had fun with my blockmates and with Mara of course! We had this party at the Discovery Suites all the way to 18th floor, making loud noise in the entire unit, having karaoke and talking about any stuffs that come to our minds.

There were Justin C., Obed, Rap, Zyron, Mykie, Carlos, me and Frances (the only girl that time) + Mara, the debutante of course! and with her friends and former classmates! What we did the entire night was to have Magic Sing and watch Final Destination 3 and other Rugby stuffs over the television.

I wanna thank Mykie for the ride from Ateneo all the way to Discovery and back, and for Lulu and Mayu for touring me to SM Marikina, and to Lulu, Mykie and Carlos for touring me again at the Podium. Sorry na, first time ko makapunta jan sa mga lugar na yan hahaha.

I'm not pretty sure if I'd loose my voice tomorrow morning because of singing intensely, but all I know is that singing is really fun especially when I get to drink a 1/4 glass of wine and look like drunk already even though I'm not. It's really fun especially when Mara's mom gets to see Obed singing hysterically and she would get Mara's younger brothers away from Obed! Hahaha.

Hay fun! But it's really sad I wasn't able to finish Final Destination 3 because Mykie had to go home already and, I and Carlos have to go with him. Basta ayun! It was really fun!!!

My first medal in AdMU

Ang funny lang kasi ang funny talaga, eh. But anyway, I still have my new medal, thanks to Freshmen Mathematics Interclass Competition or something like that! Not because of that wala pa akong medal ngayon. [added to collection! hahaha!]

Surprisingly, I joined the contest all because of the bonus points that Sir Santos will give if ever we win, and yes, we actually won the 3rd place. But if you want to ask how many groups were there, just ask me na lang!

It's really a great experience. Ang intense lang, eh. Wala nang tatalo sa intensity ng competition na ito. Good job Ralph and Amy! Woohoo, bonus points! Go for A in Math 12!

lots of great things!

And I really think, this week will be a very good week, since I-forgot-when.
  • Posting my previous blog entry makes me much happier each day, I do not know why.
  • Yesterday night, I really spent all the time preparing for my Literature presentation, and this morning, it all went well!!!
  • My Mom now started to send me errands, and I think I followed it correctly!
  • We be having Math Midterm examination tomorrow, and I think I can manage to get a higher grade again! :D
Many, many more good things I can think of, but these are the only ones I can type down.

BIG CHANGE

For this post, I will put anything that relates with CHANGE. Though this will reflect more spiritually, rather than physically. There's something with February 7, 2009. And I can't believe I would be blogging stuffs that I find dramatic and so Maalaala Mo Kaya. There seem to be a big change in the Inner Me. Okay, before I go to the real deal, let's put some music (When You Say Nothing At All) so that I won't be distracted or the thoughts I need to put won't slip away. Mahirap na. I don't want to forget this moment, these thoughts running in my head, these thoughts are really important, something's sparking in them, like they're saying "You're changing, Third."

2008 has been harsh to me, I've said that a plenty of times, in my head, in my other blogs, or with my friends. Harsh. Literally. Figuratively. Life-changing. Challenges. I really hated it as much as I loved it. But 2008 helped me more than put me down. I really loved 2008. But I hated it also. I cannot expain more than this.

Remember the time when the World Economic Crisis started, when AIG fell down, and everyone followed. I think some of you followed also, and so did we. Economy for our family has been harsh. I forgot the exact month when that crisis started. All I knew was I was entering Ateneo de Manila for my college, and I felt great. And my parents are very supportive, letting me take any course I wanted that time, and so I fell to Information Design. It was really hard for that part, adjusting and everything else. New home. New school. New friends. New what-have-yous.

And then, it was the end of October when something really bad happened. And my family was greatly affected. I felt so down during the end part of first semester and the whole semestral break. I won't go into details. But just imagine your future in Ateneo to be so unsure, you might leave or not. I saw my Mom cried again and I was just comforting her and not caring if anybody else was seeing us.

And then, I was really decided to shift to another course, still in Ateneo de Manila. And I was guessing that I would be extending my college years up to 6 years. Can you imagine that?

Hay, life!

Today, my Mom left the country, and so she gave me her phone today, so I will be using her number from now on. And then, my aunt texted the number and asked if I was watching Maalaala Mo Kaya. I said, we don't have TV at the dorm. And then she said, Love your parents, and don't expect much from them. Honestly, I was hit. Am I expecting too much from them? I think I do. I'm so down, but I'm so up right at this moment. Hay, life talaga.

Blame "shyness" for I cannot say all the things I want to say to my mother...

Sorry for expecting too much. Sorry for taking things for granted. Sorry for not texting you every night when I do not know you were missing me that you had to text me that I couldn't remember you. Sorry for only texting you when I ran out of allowance. Sorry for I do not attend mass on some Sundays. Sorry for not taking the course that you wanted. Sorry for I am not the practical person like you are. Sorry for I do not really know all the smart things we should learn in life. Sorry if I might disappoint you. Sorry for giving you heartaches everytime it's tuition time. Sorry for disturbing you for I was asking about practical things that should be asked no more. Sorry for not using the laundry and do it my own inside the dorm, instead I go to laundry services. Sorry for I eat along Katipunan even though it is not needed...

Maraming marami pa. Sorry na lang to all...

BUT REST ASSURED, by writing this blog, I'm changing myself. Because 2008 had been harsh to us, I will make 2009 wonderful. If this is a curse, then let it be. I curse that 2009 will be great. I won't let you and myself down this year. I will study every night (weh!? haha). I will review even it's not the night before an exam. I won't go along Katipunan if it's not really important. I will walk from the dorm up to LRT station, instead of riding a tricycle...

As long as this would prevent me from giving you problems and heartaches...

I LURRRVE YOU, MOMMY. Hahaha. I'm really proud of all the things you have done for me and everyone else. (I'm so teary-eyed na, bwisit.) You're the best Mom, cliche I know. But who cares, you are the only Mom I know. HAHAHA.

Hay life.

:D:D:D

Really Coming Soon

And again, I'm overly hyper activated when I saw the promotional posters for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. And since I've been a Potter fanatic for over 5 years, what else to do but to celebrate and give it its own blog post. Below are the three official promotional posters! I really cannot wait. I was literally SHOCKED when I read the official delay of the movie last year, but now it's really happening, it's really COMING SOON. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

instant colds

I think I will never sleep on the afternoon ever again! Yesterday, I just slept around 3pm to 6pm since I was really, really tired because of acads, and I didn't sleep well the night before. When I woke up, I suddenly had sipon the entire night, and I really do not know the exact reasons. I think it's because of the fan or it was really because of the windy afternoon that made my respiratory whatever worked wrong, I don't know how to explain it scientifically.

Basta, it already happened to me before. I slept at our lanai in the afternoon, and then in the evening, may sipon na ako. So until today, I'm suffering from colds, and I cannot concentrate on my preparation for Lit report, so I think I won't do well for Lit tomorrow. :-&

Best wishes, Thirdie! :)))))

PS: I really do not like to report tomorrow. I feel sick. :-&

"library work"

HAHAHAHA. Just want to share my English blockmates!!! This was like 1-2 weeks ago, when we were supposed to have a "library work" but since Ma'am was not actually around to supervise, we ended up just sitting on the benches in front of DeLaCosta Hall. And took pictures using Mariell's laptop. :)

Eboy in his, er, usual side.

Some of my En blockmates: Eboy, Ron, Nikki, Zee, Louise, Sam and Marielle!

RETRO CITY pictures

Here are some of my favorite shots last Friday night, ARSA Variety Show 2009! I got to hang out with my high school friends and saw different local bands, hehe... All shots are from Merce, so there you go...

We had a fast dinner at a fast food restaurant. HAHA. No, actually we stayed longer at McDo, trying to decide whether to really attend the variety show or not! Guess... we did!

Ateneo de Manila University at night!

I really fancy Irwin Theater with its light on at night. I wonder what was the occasion.

Just outside Cervini, waiting for Ronald to be "DELIVERED".

Me and Ryan, nagpapaka-Banker's-silhouette.

The ironic Stage. They say it's technicolor when most of it is black-and-white.

OK. Watching proper.
